What can I do if my application for finance is declined?

If your application is declined, it means we can’t offer finance at this time. We can’t give a specific reason, as decisions are based on several factors like credit risk, affordability, and the information provided in your application.

Common reasons for a decline include your credit score, not meeting our criteria, existing debt, or issues on your credit report. You can check your credit reports for free with Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.

It’s best not to apply again straight away, as multiple credit checks can affect your score. If you want to reapply with Novuna, we recommend waiting at least 6 months.

You can appeal your declined decision  by emailing: Referrals@NovunaPersonalFinance.co.uk
